About the photographer

JLevCreations (formerly Opt Outside Photography, est. 2016) was founded by Jeremy Levine in January of 2019. Jeremy is a current M.S. in Sustainability Management graduate student at Columbia University. He holds a B.A. in Psychology at the University of Maine from 2007-2011, where he was a Sports columnist and photographer for the Maine Campus newspaper.

Between 2011-2022, Jeremy was a Special Education teacher in Arizona and Virginia, supporting all grade levels PreK-12th. In his first year teaching high school, he would join thousands of Arizona teachers for a week-long teacher walkout at the Arizona State Capitol — this work can be seen in the ‘Special Edition: 2018 Red for Ed Walkout’ collection.

Jeremy has a keen eye for the intricacies and aesthetics of nature; the great outdoors has been a source of constant inspiration in his life, which he strives to encapsulate through his photographs.

JLevCreations Wall of Fame will feature some of its highly-revered works from yesteryear and today, selected and revealed annually on New Year’s Day, by the photographer himself. The work featured may hold a special place in the photographer’s heart and imagination, or may be chosen for its inspirational impact on others. Some work has even been featured on local news and tourism social media. In 2021, JLevCreations received a Tempe Instagrammys nomination (see below).
